Unlock Comprehensive Vehicle Diagnostics with XENTRY Diagnosis Open Shell Lite

For independent workshops seeking a robust and versatile diagnostic solution, XENTRY Diagnosis Open Shell Lite offers an exceptional answer. This specialized diagnostic software is designed to operate seamlessly on standard PCs, bringing advanced Mercedes-Benz diagnostics within reach without the need for dedicated, expensive hardware. Coupled with the standard XENTRY Diagnosis VCI, XENTRY Diagnosis Open Shell Lite establishes a powerful communication bridge to the vehicle, ensuring accurate and efficient diagnostics.

Who is Eligible for XENTRY Diagnosis Lite?

XENTRY Diagnosis Lite is exclusively available to independent operators who meet the criteria outlined in EC regulation 2018/858. This offering is specifically tailored for businesses actively engaged in motor vehicle repair and maintenance. To expedite your order and verification process, it’s necessary to provide evidence confirming your eligibility. This typically involves uploading relevant documentation such as a trade license, commercial register entry, proof of professional qualification in the automotive trade, or another official document that substantiates your business operations in vehicle repair.

Crucial Considerations Before Ordering XENTRY Diagnosis Lite

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:

  • Exclusive Use on Standard PCs: XENTRY Diagnosis Lite is strictly intended for use on standard PCs that do not currently possess an active StartKey or contract for other XENTRY systems.
  • Hardware ID Conflict: If you already have an active StartKey or contract for a XENTRY Pass Thru EU system, you cannot order XENTRY Diagnosis Lite for the same hardware ID. To utilize XENTRY Diagnosis Lite, you must use a different standard PC that is not already in use with another XENTRY system. Alternatively, you would need to wait until your existing XENTRY Pass Thru EU contract expires before using the same hardware ID.

XENTRY Diagnosis Lite: Understanding the Pricing Structure

The cost of XENTRY Diagnosis Lite is structured with both fixed and variable components, offering a transparent and flexible pricing model.

Fixed Price Elements:

  • Annual Flat User Fee: A product-specific annual flat fee covers online operating costs and access to comprehensive support services. It’s important to note that this fee is applicable for contract renewals, but not for the initial order.
  • One-Time Hardware Cost: A one-time hardware cost is associated with the XENTRY Diagnosis COM Kit, which includes the essential VCI and supplementary components.

Variable Price Elements:

  • Time Credit Consumption: The use of diagnostic data is based on a time credit system. You purchase credit units which are then consumed as you use the diagnostic functions.
  • Automated Credit Management: The diagnostics application automatically manages the consumption of your purchased time credits.
  • Credit Unit Activation: A credit unit is activated as soon as you open the diagnostics system. Once activated, the credit unit continues to run until its expiry, even if you end the diagnostics session or switch between vehicles.
Pricing Component Details
Flat-rate user fee (1 year) €180.00 / year (Applicable only for contract extensions, not the first order)
Hardware-costs, one-time €1,522.00 (One-time purchase)
Time Credit Units 1 hour
MB passenger car incl. VAN, smart, EQ, Maybach €15.90

While the software purchase, software updates, access to diagnostic data via time credits, and authorization for support services are initially valid for 42 months, access can be extended beyond this period as long as hardware support remains available. Continuous use of diagnostic data throughout the contract period requires the payment of annual usage fees.
