Mercedes Blanche Sets the Record Straight: “I’m Not an AI!”

Recently, social media platforms buzzed with accusations pointed at none other than Mercedes Blanche, suggesting she might be an AI model. In an exclusive interview, the popular content creator addresses these rumors head-on and shares her candid thoughts on the burgeoning AI phenomenon in the influencer world.

“Yes, I was,” Mercedes Blanche acknowledges regarding the AI accusations. “To be honest, it was quite interesting because I genuinely didn’t grasp the reasoning behind it. Why would I be AI? I thought to myself, ‘I look so normal in my videos,’ I’m trying to create relatable, satirical POV content. Becoming a robot was the furthest thing from my mind!”

The rise of artificial intelligence is undeniable, prompting mixed feelings across industries, and the influencer sphere is no exception. Mercedes Blanche expresses this sentiment, “Very mixed. I read just weeks ago that some influencers are already creating AI versions of themselves and earning thousands of dollars daily simply with voice messages. Personally, I feel like that would be deceiving my long-time followers. That’s something I definitely want to avoid.”

The financial implications of AI models are staggering, with some virtual entities reportedly earning millions. Mercedes Blanche comments on this, “It’s kind of odd, if you ask me. They aren’t even real people. The individuals behind these AI models are the ones profiting, and we, the audience, only see the AI persona they control. It feels like it’s taking opportunities away from genuine influencers who are diligently building their platforms and establishing their brands.”

When asked if she has ever considered creating an AI replica of herself, Mercedes Blanche firmly states, “No, not really. I believe a core aspect of being an influencer is authenticity. If I were to replace myself with an artificially intelligent creation, I would lose my human connection. I value sharing real moments with my followers, including the not-so-perfect ones – bad skin days, moments of sadness, the ebb and flow of emotions that everyone experiences daily. I want people to feel less ‘alone.’ Society already projects an unrealistic image of celebrities and social media influencers, portraying them as perpetually flawless, living picture-perfect lives filled with photoshoots and travel. That’s far from the truth.”

Addressing comments about her videos sometimes appearing “robotic,” Mercedes Blanche clarifies, “I mean, I do follow a certain video style pattern, but they are 100% me.” She also admits to minor editing tweaks, “I like to adjust the background audio because public spaces can be quite noisy. I also might touch up my makeup if I notice something is off during editing.”

Looking ahead, Mercedes Blanche voices concerns about AI’s growing influence, “Yes, in a way, I am worried. AI presents both advantages and disadvantages. But its development is happening at an incredibly rapid pace. I can hardly imagine how quickly people might transition to engaging primarily with AI personalities. I mean, there are already websites offering virtual girlfriends for a monthly subscription. It’s quite strange.”

Mercedes Blanche invites everyone to see for themselves and connect with her on her official social media channels: Instagram, X, TikTok and even on IMDB.
