Before you begin, please note that this guide is based on the installation procedure for versions provided by xentryportal.store. While the fundamental steps remain consistent across versions, always refer to any specific instructions accompanying your software package. Also, remember to disable the secure boot option in your BIOS settings before starting the installation, especially on Windows 10 systems. This is a critical step to avoid potential conflicts during the installation process.

Step 1: Initiating the Installation Process

Begin by locating the installation files. Open the folder named “XDS_21.9.4” (or a similar version name depending on your software package). Inside this folder, you will find a file named “start.” Simply double-click this “start” file to initiate the Xentry Open Shell installation process.

You will then be prompted to select your preferred language for the installation. Choose your language from the provided options to proceed.

Once all modules are installed, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to restart your PC. After restarting, ConfigAssist will automatically launch. It is important to close ConfigAssist at this stage.

Step 2: ConnectorAPI Integration

After copying the DLL file, locate and double-click the “old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 64bit.reg” file. This will add essential registry keys. Click “OK” to confirm and add the information to the registry.

Step 4: Executing XDOS Black List

Run the “XDOS black list.exe” application found in your installation files. Once opened, click “Extract” within the application interface. This step is crucial for system stability.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Addressing “2221-45 No access authorization” Error: If you encounter the “2221-45 No access authorization” error in Benz Xentry, refer to specific troubleshooting guides for this error code, as it often relates to license or authorization issues.

Invalid SmartKey: If you receive an “invalid SmartKey” message, double-check that you have correctly entered the StartKey. If the issue persists, ensure that you have disabled the “Secure boot” option in your BIOS settings, as mentioned at the beginning of this guide. This is a common cause of SmartKey invalidation.

By following these steps carefully, you should have successfully installed and activated your Xentry Open Shell diagnostic software. Ensure you always use the “start_Xentry” shortcut to launch the program for optimal performance and stability.
